Obituary of Jacob 'Jack' Norman Reinbold
REINBOLD, Jacob (Jack)
April 8, 1936 - November 23, 2018
Jack Reinbold passed away on November 23, 2018, at Royal University Hospital.
Jacob Norman Reinbold was born on April 8, 1936 in Macklin, Saskatchewan.
Jack spent his 47-year career with Safeway stores in Saskatoon and North Battleford.
Jack was an avid sports fan. He participated in many sports, including curling, golf, hockey, and baseball.
He appreciated the years that he spent at the cabin at Meeting Lake with family and friends.
Jack and Kathy enjoyed travelling together over the years, particularly bus trips to watch Blue Jays games and vacations in Mexico.
The great grandchildren held a special place in his heart.
He was predeceased by his parents, Balzer and Pauline Reinbold; his sisters, Eileen Zimmer, Leona Enns, and Laurette Benning; his brother, Reiny Reinbold; sister-in-law Louise Reinbold and brother-in-law Don Ross.
Jack is survived by his wife, Kathy Lambert (nee Medwyduk), his stepchildren Rae-Lynn (Ray) Bourner of Saskatoon, Mark (Sherry) Lambert of Saskatoon, Jim (Lisa) Lambert of Saskatoon, Tom (Michele) Lambert of Kitchener, Shelly (John) Berry of Calgary, nine step-grandchildren, seven great step-grandchildren, his brother Denis (Marlene) Reinbold, sister Bernie Ross, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Emile April and Fr. Michael Dechant OMI at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at St. Philip Neri Parish (1902 Munroe Avenue South) in Saskatoon. Please join family and friends for lunch at the church following the Mass. A private family internment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
