Obituary of Cody Nickolas Wawryk

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Cody Nickolas Wawryk on October 20th, 2018 at the young age of 21.  Born to mother Tania Wawryk and father Chad Wawryk (deceased) on October19, 1997 in Saskatoon, SK, Cody was an important and loving part of many people’s lives.  Growing up Cody was always the life of the party, fun loving, outgoing and loved by everyone who met him.  Cody had a genuine love and appreciation for family.  He loved church, hockey, skateboarding and video games. Cody had a passion to protect and care for those who needed it.  He loved spending time with elderly people and stood up for any kids that were bullied or feeling down. His friends knew that Cody would always have their backs.  He was a hero to a lot people.  Cody lost his dad at the tender age of 13.  This loss affected him deeply.  On July 6, 2017 Cody and Desiree welcomed their beautiful daughter Sapphire Skye into the world.  He loved her with his whole heart and soul and she became a beacon in the darkness.  Being a daddy was everything to Cody.  He is survived by his daughter Sapphire and her mom Desiree, his mother Tania, brother Kyle, sister Amber, dear friend Tiffany,  and step-brother Emanuelle.  He leaves behind Grandparents Fern (or “G” as Cody called her), Lyle and Pam, Nick and Elaine.  Aunties and uncles, Tammie & Larry Jellison, Sherry & Ken Peters, Chris Wawryk, and Kelly Wawryk.  Cousins Ashley, Kayla, Owen, Brandon, Reily, Chelsea, Cassidy, Hailey, Heidi, and numerous friends who will miss him dearly.  Cody is predeceased by Grandma Dorothy and father Chad. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home ( 338 4th Ave. North) on Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 7-9 pm.  A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 29th, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Patrick’s Parish (3339 Centennial Dr.) In lieu of flowers donations will be collected for Sapphire and placed in a trust fund.
