Obituary of Lillian Dorothy McAuley

It is with deep sadness that the family of Lillian Dorothy ‘Mary’ McAuley (Nee McAlpine) announce her sudden passing late Wednesday evening, October 17, 2018 at St. Paul’s Hospital with family members by her side. Born Jan 14, 1922, the eighth of 16 children to Donald and Annie McAlpine of Dubuc, SK. Lillian was predeceased by her husband William Archie and son Wayne Douglas. Left to mourn her loss are her sons Don (Betty), Ron (Darlene), Clyde, Kevin (Frankie), and Warren;  ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren, as well as four of her siblings and a vast number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was a loving, nurturing mother to six boys, one having passed away . She was also the fiercely proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren and anyone who needed love and guidance.
She was also involved with The Royal Purple and numerous other charities.
It is our fervent wish that she is reunited with all who loved her, especially her husband Archie and son Wayne. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the 7th floor of St Paul’s Hospital for the care and comfort provided to our mother.  The Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 26th at 1:00 p.m. with Sue Panattoni as celebrant. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
