We were so sad to read that Jeanette had passed away. I worked with Jeanette at AECL in Ottawa many years ago. She was a good friend. I remember most that she always had a smile on her face. While we lost track of Jeanette many years ago we would often wonder where life had taken her. The slide show was a wonderful obituary.

A beautiful obituary for a warm, loving Jeanette. We were all shocked to hear of her death and will miss her. It was a pleasure to have her join our family on a few special occasions and always bringing enough of her special cheese bread to be shared. Our love and prayers to Richard and Shelly. PyA3

Dear Rick and Shelly and Families,
Our sincerest and deepest condolences.
.
Jeannette was such a kind loving soul, putting everyone before her. She was extremely proud of you Rick and when Shelly joined the family she couldn't have been even more proud of you both and your accomplishments in life. She loved you both so dearly. All those 30 some odd years ago, Jeannette made me feel very welcome when I moved in across the hall and invited mw to her wonderful Sunday family and friend brunches. Our Lives became richer knowing Jeannette She was "My Friend" and will continue to be so in my heart.
May all the wonderful memories of Jeannette help to bring you comfort during this time of sudden grief. God Bless.
Love Jo and Denis

I met Jeannette through her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Shelly. She was so proud of both of them and they shared a bond that endures past earthly things. Every person is judged by the company they keep and by that standard everyone was enriched by knowing Jeannette. Even in our brief interactions, I felt her strength of spirit and goodness of her soul. Now, I can sense the same things in Richard.
It is said that the whole world is a monument to dead heroes whose epitaph is written in the hearts of people in distant places. As long as the things that Jeannette held dear live on in the hearts of Richard and Shelly, those things live and so does she. God bless her and keep her and, as the Lord wills, we will all meet again someday.

Jeannette always made me strive to be a better person. She was a dear child of the good God, and she showed His grace throughout her interactions with others. She lived a life of joy amid great hardships and so taught all of us to complain less, and appreciate more.
I firmly believe that I shall see her again, but oh my, I shall dearly miss her emails, and jokes, and her shining presence.
All who were lucky enough to know her, will know this to be true.
My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family of this wonderful lady.

Dear special sweet loving Jeanette,
The glass was always half full, never half empty for you. We have played, laughed, and created precious memories as long as I have had the pleasure of knowing you. I remember your joy, celebration, and appreciation for all things new and shared. Simple things - like when Mario bought you your first corsage for New Years Eve at the Italian Cultural Centre - like how your eyes twinkled as we watched the Christmas light displays at Van Dusen Gardens. You were a great friend, a loving mother and grandmother, and a very special light in this world.
"To live in the hearts of those we leave behind, is not to die." We will miss you but never forget you Ms Jeanette.
Love,
Lynn & Mario

It is so very difficult to believe that my dear friend and kindred spirit is gone. Jeannette was like a sister to me for many years. We laughed together, went on adventures, cried many tears and enjoyed life in a very real way. We were just back together and enjoying each other’s company when she decided to leave. This time it was her that left. I shall truly miss you my friend but we can continue our kinship in the future in heaven.

Pat and I are so sad to hear that Jeannette has passed. She was a dear friend to me for almost fifty years and to Pat for twenty years. I loved her sense of right and wrong and her sense of humour. Jeannette had to overcome many obstacles in her life but always kept her smile. We loved her and will miss her.

Auntie J is a blessed heart. The love she gave was incredible and unconditional. Our relationship was perfect. It was fun, adventurous, interesting, and full of kindness.
As the obit said, auntie j had a way of listening without judgment I've never experienced.
Her cats, brunches, dancing, dinners, jokes, candles, music, perseverance, strength, sincerity, game playing, generous nature, presence, fairness, and pure love will be with me forever.
I miss you. I love you.
