Gail Fehr

Obituary of Gail Louise Fehr

Gail Louise Fehr, 73, of Saskatoon, SK., passed away peacefully on August 29, 2018, at St. Paul’s Hospital, surrounded by her family. Gail was born in Saskatoon to James & Edith (Moss) Fisher on August 19, 1945. She was a homemaker in her early adult years, and later held several jobs including working at St. Pauls Hospital in housekeeping. She enjoyed socializing, and always had a house full of friends or family, either playing cards or just hanging out, exchanging stories and laughing. At one time in her life you could often find her in a bingo hall, stocked up with her various bingo dabbers; she took her bingo quite seriously, but always in a fun way.  The past few years Gail lived with COPD. While it limited her mobility she nevertheless maintained her sense of humour and could always be counted on for a big smile.
Gail is survived by her 3 children, daughter Deb Fehr, of Saskatoon, her son Warren (Terri) Fehr of Saskatoon, and daughter Patti Fehr, of Saskatoon, granddaughter Emily Fehr and grandson Connor Fehr. She is preceded in death by her parents, James & Edith Fisher, brother, Robert Fisher,  husband, Duane Fehr, brother, Don Wells, brother, Gary Fisher and sister, Peggy Van Ham. We, her children, wish to extend our gratitude to the nurses and staff of St. Paul’s Hospital and St. Joseph’s Care Home for their exemplary care that she has received over the last few years of her life. We are also forever grateful to our Mom for making music such a big part of our lives. We will keep that gift with us always. The Funeral service will be held at Saskatoon Funeral Home on Tuesday September 4 at 1:30 pm, with Reverend Cathy Coates of the United Church of Canada officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Saskatoon. A reception will be held immediately following the burial at the home of Warren & Terri Fehr.
