Irene
May God bless and comfort you and your family during your time of grief. My friendship with Doug developed primarily at the bridge table and goes back to the early 1970's. He was a man of integrity and character; he will be missed by all who knew him.
Please accept my sincere condolences.
Respectfully
Len Racette

Dear Irene,
You, your family and Doug were in our thoughts today. He was a wonderful friend to Sergei and Elaine. They enjoyed his wit, celebrated a shared love of travel and cherished his constant friendship particularly in their last years. We are sending hugs and deep sympathy from Calgary. Dear Irene:
Please accept Mary-Jane and my sincere condolences over Doug’s death. This came as a complete shock. As you may remember, we met you and Doug twice, on successive evenings, just prior to Christmas and he looked fine. Doug was a great guy and we enjoyed many laughs together. We will truly miss him. Unfortunately, we will not be able to attend Doug’s funeral. However, we will be thinking of you.
Best,
Gordon
