Dear von Kampen family,
Please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of your father and Opa. My husaband, Hans von Kampen, who passed away in 1977, was John's first cousin and they grew up together in Gruenfeld.

My sincerest condolences to you Ron, and to your sisters Julie and Teresa, and your families. I know it's never easy when you loss a parent. I still have many fond memories of your home on 2nd Street and the years we all spent together at Haultain. I also remember your mom and dad and that I liked them both, as a child growing up.
You have my deepest sympathy.

I never met your dad/granddad but am family friends with Carl, Paul and Marlene Neustaedter. I just wanted to say that I heard many stories about John from the Neustaedters in Winnipeg, and also was aware of his legacy with Mid West Electric,as i lived in Saskatoon for several years and worked in the design and construction industry.
What a rich and varied life he must have lived, including rising above the trauma of his early years getting from Europe to Canada. My sincere condolences to all of you.
Regards,
Doug Shearer

Dear Julie and Brad,
We are at that age where our parents become our responsibility. It's a difficult concept to get one's head around and yet, it happens. Regardless, the sadness of losing a parent is not to be minimized, even though it is inevitable. I am sending my love and strength to you and all your family at this difficult time.
Hugs.
