Obituary of Doreen Greenizan
Doreen Greenizan died peacefully at home in her slepp in the early morning of Wednesday, April 11, 2018. She was the eldest of six children. She is predeceased by her parents Fred (1984) and Ellen (2001) Greenizan; her brothers Owen (1987) and John (2001). Doreen leaves to mourn her 3 sisters Pauline Greenizan NDS, Stella (Thom) Hewitt and Nancy Greenizan; sisters-in-law Beatrice and Lavina Greenizan, by her many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, her Aunt, Biddy Cooney in Ireland and by her many Irish cousins. Doreen had a great love for children, liked to travel, belonged to many groups, loved to sing and was in numerous choirs,and truly loved being a member of the Irish Club. She enjoyed bowling, volunteering at John Lake School, gardening- planting and harvesting her vegetables and flowers. Doreen will be be remembered for riding her bike wherever she went. She was a kind and generous person. Doreen kept the family connected through phone calls, letters and care packages. She had an eye out for anyone in need and offerd to help where she could. Doreen was a loyal and faithful member of St.Francis Xavier Parish. A Vigil of Prayer will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2018. The mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Monnday, April 16, 2018 by Fr. Nestor Gregoire O.M.I. . Both services will be held at St. Francis Xavier Parish
