Obituary of Lenard Edward Elliot Schurman

LENARD SCHURMAN  passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, February 13, 2018.  He was 80 years old. Lenard was predeceased by his loving wife of 44 years Barbara, his parents, Fred and Vivian Schurman, his sister Connie and his granddaughter Wendy. He is survived by all 8 of his children Randy (Hope), Lee (Joanne), Cindy (Paul), Jill (Brian), Sherry (the late Rob), Kit (Loralei), Tracey (Dennis) and Jody (Rick), 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and his sisters Shirley (Jack), Judy (Flavian) and Debbie (Rick). Len was a dedicated and valued Foreman at a local plumbing supply company for 35 years. He was also a talented Master Woodworker who created amazing wooden mobiles that were so lifelike and true to form that he was awarded First in Show at many events in the province. He was a strong and athletic man in his youth and enjoyed watching many sports events over the years especially his Saskatchewan Roughriders, all hockey and curling. He also loved to get out in the woods to hunt with friends and enjoy the outdoors.
He will be greatly missed by his loving children and their children, his family and all who enjoyed his company. There will be a visitation Tuesday, February 20 at 6 pm and the Celebration of his life Wednesday, February 21 at 11 am at Saskatoon Funeral Home.
