Obituary of Vernon Sahli
VERNON KENNETH SAHLI
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Vernon on September 23, 2015 from a heart attack at Royal University Hospital. He was born on the family homestead near Swanson, SK on May 15, 1931. He helped out on the family farm until his parents passed away, and eventually sold the family farm and moved to Saskatoon. Vernon enjoyed playing cards, bingo, listening to music, buying lottery tickets, going to the casino, visiting with friends and relatives. He loved to talk on the phone and was great at keeping in touch with everyone – even if it was just a short two-minute call to see what you were up to, or how the weather was at your side of the city. He will be lovingly remembered by his brother Howard Sahli (Ida) of Saskatoon, his sister-in-law Betty Sahli of Nipawin and numerous nieces and nephews, and all his good friends at King Edward home. Vernon was predeceased by his parents Thora and Jens, brothers Melvin and John, sister Annie, brother-in-law Harold Lees and special friend Isabella Lenz.
