Obituary of Gladys Marie Noel Hall
Gladys Marie Noel Hall
Born on December 24, 1920 in Landis, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully on October 10, 2017. She was the second child of Paula and Evan Hall. Gladys received her early education at a rural school, “Needwood”, south west of Landis. In 1941 she graduated from Success Secretarial College, now the Saskatoon Business College. She was a member of Chi Beta Chapter, Alpha Iota Sorority for more than 10 years. Gladys worked for 43 years (1942-1985) as a secretary for the Agriculture Canada Research Station in Saskatoon. She was a great supporter of the broader community and she spent 22 years working as a volunteer with the visually impaired. As a result of her volunteer work and her work with the Federal Government, she was awarded the Centennial Medal.
She was predeceased by her parents, brother Geoffrey, and her sister Marjorie (Robert) Steel. Gladys leaves behind many caring friends, both near and afar. Of special mention is her cherished friend Anne Gutiw, who extended such loving care, and the Adams families whose friendship dates back to 1944. They always thought of her and treated her as “one of the family”.
