Obituary of Ruth Mortensen

April 28, 1927 – August 11, 2017 Ruth passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She is survived by her twin daughters Brenda (Randy) Hyde and Linda (Harvey) Marcil as well as nephew Don Wilson (Nilu Partovi, Ryan), niece Janice Wilson, (Dave Dawes, Josi, Jason, Lucy, Nash), niece Joan Astley (Richard, Kim, Rob, Grace), nephew Stuart Christianson (Melissa), cousins Sonja Jones (Darwyn Jones, Leif, Kiara, Alyson Curry, Bruce, Bronwyn, Aidan), Lynn Ness and Shelley Ness as well as relatives in Norway. She was predeceased by her husband Carl, brother and sister in law Harold and Eunice Christianson, sister and brother in law Eunice and Harry Wilson, niece Cheryl Christianson, cousin Norman Ness and his son Darrell and Sonja’s husband, Robert Jones. Mom was born on the farm at Dahlton, Sask. to parents Carl and Antonette Christianson. She worked for 12 years at the Royal Bank in Prince Albert. It was here that she was introduced to a young man named Carl from Denmark. They were married in 1958 and had the twins in 1961. The family then moved to Delisle to operate the Delisle Bakery for 26 years.
