Obituary of Ruth Knouse

It is with much sadness we the family of Emelia “ Ruth” Anne Knouse (nee Hersikorn) the sweetest Mom ever passed away peacefully after a courageously fought battle with cancer. On July 3,2017 at St. Paul’s Palliative Care Unit. She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Peggy (Fred), Art (Joan), Bev(Kelly), Geraldine(Joe) as well as her grandchildren: Jennifer(Brent), Jamie(Carla),Christopher, Kayla (Kevin), Brittany (Matt), Evan, Ian (Michelle), Keaton, Kennedy, Emily & Luke. Great Grand Children: Mackenzie, Chase, Jackson, Atticus, Emelia & Lennon. Along with her siblings: June, Joann (Gord), David (Gayle), Allan(Sandra), Glen (Betty), Jimmy (Hilda) step brother David(Linda) sisters in-law Joan & Kathy and numerous nieces and nephews along with cousins. Ruth was predeceased by her parents & step mother her husband Vance her son Robert and brothers Wade, John, Randy & brother in law Mike. Ruth was dearly loved and cherished by all, the matriarch of her family ,hard working and her easy going nature was always warm and inviting. She loved to spend time with her children and grand and great grand kids. Family was very important to Mom as she is to us. We want to thank the nurses the Doctors and all care givers that helped her thru this time. Special thanks to Brenda, Katie, Tina,Shannon & Amy at St Paul’s Palliative Care Unit.
