Obituary of Jim Frey

Jim (James) Frey died peacefully in palliative care at St. Paul’s Hospital on June 21, 2017 with his family by his side at the age of 76. He will be loved and remembered by his wife Joan; son Jeff (Kim) and their children Colin and Jenna; son Tim; and son Kirby (Tanya) and their children Ella and Nolan. He is preceded in death by his parents Catherine and Vincent. Jim is survived by his siblings Francis, Walter, Margo, Ron, Dennis, Audrey, Deloris, and Bernie along with many friends and relatives whom he cherished deeply. Jim grew up on the family farm in the Wilkie area. He attended school in Wilkie and then joined the Air Force for five years. He worked at the CTV affiliate in Saskatoon in the engineering department for 37 years. Jim was accomplished at being able to repair anything. He loved collecting antiques, playing music, sports, and helping others in need. Family was the most important part of Jim's life and he loved spending time with all, especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humour, his loving heart, and for always being there to help those in need. Jim will be missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or a charity of your choice.
