Obituary of Harold Gonick
It is with sadness that we the family of Harold Gonick announce his sudden passing on April 23, 2017. He was born June 11, 1936 in Winnipeg, MB. Harold married Bette-Ellen Swartz in 1961 of Melville, Saskatchewan and they moved to Saskatoon. Harold worked for 40 years with Canadian National Railway where he was well liked and respected. Sports were a large part of Harold’s life. He enjoyed curling and ball and was involved as a player, coach and spectator. Throughout his life, Harold was active and involved in his faith community. Family was the most important part of Harold’s life and the time he was able to spend with his grandson, Brayden brought him immense pleasure. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Bette-Ellen; his 2 sons - Jeff and David; his daughter - Aleyna (Davey Mah), grandson Brayden Mah; a sister Patricia (Malcolm) Sobie and their family – Brian (Inez) and son Sloan, Cynthia and her daughter Sophie, Sherryll (Robert) and their sons - Callum and Quinn; his 2 brothers; 2 sisters-in-law: Libbie Good – son, Jordan (Zahra); Judy (Mitch) Kassen – their family - Jordana (Perry) Jacobson – children Ryan and Layla; and Brooke (Allie) – daughter Julia.
