Obituary of Inga Skaftfeld

It is with great sadness the family of Inga Skaftfeld announces her passing on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. Inga was 90 years old. God received a special angel. Inga was born in Argyle District, Manitoba on February 2, 1927. She married her husband Ed of 67 years on June 12, 1948. She is survived by her daughter Diane (Don) Blackwell, daughter Wendy (Doug) Goldbeck, son Bob (Cathy) Skaftfeld; grandchildren Rob and Tim Blackwell, Lisa (Jason) Lockert, Kristinn (Nicole) Goldbeck, Amanda (Kevin) Kapell, and Dale Skaftfeld; great-grandchildren Devin and Nathan Blackwell, Cole Durk, Megan and Brayden Lockert, Josh and Pyper Goldbeck and Aiden Kapell. Inga was predeceased by her husband Ed, daughter Kim Skaftfeld, her parents, sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Bud Flynn, brother-in-law Marvin (Audrey) Skaftfeld, parents-in-law, sister-in-law Joanne (Sveinn) Helgason and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Inga’s greatest love was spending time visiting with family. She also loved gardening, cooking, baking and reading. Inga also enjoyed square dancing. She was a member of the Saskatoon Scandinavian Club for 40 years as well as the Daughters of the Nile. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
